Sea Love Charters

Sea Love Charters continues to operate during the COVID-19 pandemic.  Due to capacity restrictions imposed, Sea Love has been forced to change our way of operating.  Effective immediately, the prices and trip hours below have changed.  Call us at 904-824-3328 to get more information regarding these changes and continue to return to our website for the latest updates.

With only 8 passengers allowed on each vessel, we will now be taking your credit card information to secure your spot(s).  We can not afford to run the vessels with less than 8 passengers.  If for any reason you must cancel, PLEASE CALL US the day before your trip and your card will not be charged for each spot reserved.

Sea Love Charters will continue to fish through the COVID-19 pandemic as we monitor the updates and respond to the advice of governments, public health authorities, and medical professionals.  Certain operational changes and practices approved by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have been implemented to help you feel comfortable fishing with us and ensure a safe offshore experience for everyone.

FWC Executive Order 20-09 was enacted on March 27th to reflect direction from Florida Governor DeSantis, the Florida Department of Health and the CDC. The order requires that each recreational vessel must not have more than 10 people on board.  As a result, the capacity ‘Sea Love II’ is limited to seven passengers and three crew members and the ‘Sea Love III’, is limited to eight passengers and two crew members.

The following practices approved by the CDC are currently being followed by the Sea Love staff:

  • Only healthy passengers will be allowed on the vessels.  Please don’t come if you are sick and coughing.
  • There is more than enough of room on each vessel to maintain a six-foot distance (basically the length of the fishing rod) between each fisherman and the staff.
  • All tackle is disinfected.  Following each trip, the staff wipes down the fishing tackle with a bleach solution including reel handles, rod butts and anywhere an angler touches the rod.
  • Following each fishing trip, all surfaces (deck, seats, bathrooms, doorknobs, hand rails, and walls) and basically anywhere someone would touch the boat is thoroughly scrubbed with a strong solution of bleach and soap to keep it clean for the next customer.
  • Staff is queried and monitored daily regarding their health.
  • Gloves are worn by staff for fish cleaning and will be provided to passengers for use on the trip.
  • Passengers should bring their own sanitizers.
  • Vessel will not be anchored within 50 feet of another vessel.
  • If somebody becomes seasick on the vessel, the area will be immediately rinsed and sanitized.
  • Records of phone numbers for passengers will be maintained for later contact if necessary.

Both the ‘Sea Love II and III’ vessels are available for private charters.  Due to the required reduced capacity, special rates will apply to charter the vessels.  Please remember that Sea Love Charters also offers the sport boat ‘Reel Therapy’ and the inshore skiff for private charters.  Bring along your closest friends and family who will fish with a captain and mate on the sport boat and a single captain on the skiff.  ‘Reel Therapy’ holds up to six passengers and the skiff can accommodate up to two fishermen.

The customer’s health and safety are always a priority for us at Sea Love Charters.  Now more than ever we are committed to providing an outdoor adventure that is safe and fun for you and your loved ones.  If you have any questions regarding our procedures and your safety, please contact us at 904-824-3328.
